This was the original level of detail to which I drew all of the frames for "A Night To Remember", but in order to not cause a warp core breach in my computer when I tried to put it in Flash, I had to simplify the frames. XD
Perhaps the most famous film scene of all time, told by ponies. The best way to tell it, as far as I'm concerned.
Love how you recreated that warm feeling with the background! I wish you maintained a similar feel with the colors of both characters since they just seem so solid. If they maintained lighting that set the mood of this picture, then it would stand out much more!
Well, I would have, but gradients are fairly cpu intensive in Flash, I was pushing it with this to tell the truth. If I had, not many people would be able to play the thing it would be so hard to load. XD
When people leave the country to go fight in a war, that means that there are less people. Less people means shorter lines for the movies, shorter lines for the bathroom, shorter lines for everything! Believe me, if there's one thing that no one has, it's patience, but now you don't need it. Plus, as the population decreases, the odds that someone will ask you for directions or the time dramatically decrease, meaning that you're saved from many of the petty annoyances of daily life. What more could a man want?
Well, to be honest, I probably hated it more when I saw Avatar, which I hate the most. That aside, I really don't like Titanic because everybody treats it like it's the best thing since sliced bread when it wasn't all that amazing. The sexual content was bad, but that sounds about it, actually.
Yeah, Avatar, while visually striking was little more than just a showcase of special effects. No feeling at all. Titanic was the same in a lot of ways, which is why in my opinion the better movie about the ship would be "A Night to Remember", from 1958. That is a genuinely good movie all around.
Titanic was pretty much a chick flick, but I like chick flicks, so it's all good. XD
What about this though? Is it just because it's based off of the movie? Or is my composition off or something? ^^
Movies from that time tended to be better, I think.
Meh, I'm a guy, so I don't like chick flicks. Don't get me wrong, I like romance; I'm a total sucker for shipping, but when that's all the movie is about, I get bored I guess.
Oh no, it has nothing to do with how well you drew it. It's that, A. The two people they're being based off of are not the same gender, and B. I really, really can't stand LyraBon shipping. Only in this community is same-sex shipping more abundant than AIDS in Africa. Everybody seems to be okay with it, and while I only dislike that a little, the fact that everywhere I go there's lyrabon shipping and OcatviaXScratch shipping is really irritating. I wish I could just block it and not complain about it all the time.
I would certainly agree with you there. What bugs me too is that James Cameron pretty much stole all the scenes from "A Night to Remember" and put them in "Titanic" >.>
I think the large number of homosexual shipping that's going on has to do with pretty much all of the main characters, and most of the secondary and background characters being, well, the same gender. If we stuck strictly to heterosexual shipping, there would be very little variety. Everything would pretty much have to have Big Mac, or Braeburn, or Soarin. XD
