Hiya! ^^
First order of business, I would ask for just a moment of your time to address an issue of particular importance for Americans.
The American Prairie Reserve is an ambitious project in Montana to help save America's native grassland, a rapidly vanishing and completely unique ecosystem. The Reserve has gotten a great start, and seeks to create a 3,500,000 acre reserve to protect the grassland and all of the plant and animal species which inhabit it.
Only trouble is, the Reserve is forced to move slowly because of copious red tape and having to purchase or lease the land with only private donations.
It stands to reason, that if the Obama Administration were to declare the region a National Monument, then the Prairie could immediately and forever more be preserved with the help of Federal funding, land, and protection.
I have created a White House Petition to help bring this issue into the eyes of the Administration and the Public, and to get a response from the White House:
wh.gov/MTeO
I implore you, please sign this petition if you care about our environment. It can't be done without your help. ^w^

Next order of business, I'm going to be starting a new contest!
The theme will be Ponies in Literature!
Here's how it's going to work:
Simply create a drawing drawing of ponies inserted into or crossed with -any- of your favorite books, poems, or works of literature.
1. Use of canon characters is encouraged, but not required. Feel free to use OCs as you see fit.
2. Try to make the scene as recognizable as possible as that book.
3. You may enter as many times as you like, but keep in mind you can only win once.
4. Use any art style you like, be it vector, painting, traditional, anything as long as they're ponies.
5. All artists may enter, regardless of level of skill.
You will be judged on two aspects: Artistic composition, and presentation of your chosen work! ^^
Prizes: 3,000 total, with three winners!
First Place: 1,500
Second Place: 1,000 Third Place: 500
The contest will end in exactly one month on Sunday May 7th, 2013
As soon as I get some entries I will move this to it's own journal and feature the entries. Deadline may be pushed back based on number of entries.
Have fun! ^^
